Since these exercises involve animations, do not submit a hard copy. Instead, eMail an electronic version to me.
1. Write an animation that solves the floating tangent line problem for an arbitrary differentiable function y = f(x) on an interval [a,b].
2. Write an animation that displays an interesting face: Perhaps expanding/contracting eyes or nose or mouth, perhaps eyeballs rotating within circular or elliptical eyes. Let your imagination guide you.
3. Write an animation that takes a function, for example, y = ex, and approximates the tangent line at a given point, say at x = 1, by taking secant lines for points P = (b,eb) near (1,e). That is, the line(s) passing through the points (1, e) and (b, eb) for values of b between 0 and 1, should approach the tangent line.
